Shining a spotlight on 2023 Retail Associates of the Year

Jennifer is AbleLight's 2023 Retail Associate of the Year

This week, we celebrated National Thrift Day across all of our AbleLight Thrift Shops! Each store had the opportunity to nominate an outstanding employee for our 2023 AbleLight Retail Associate of the Year award. The winner this year is Jennifer B., a lead retail associate at our AbleLight Thrift Shop in Wichita, Kansas. Congratulations Jennifer!

Nominated by Store Manager Sagen, Jennifer stood out among the dozen team members who were nominated for Retail Associate of the Year recognition, demonstrating our AbleLight values of Mission First, Team Together and Excellence Always.

Her exceptional dedication, steadfast commitment, and relentless pursuit of excellence truly set her apart as a shining example of how the AbleLight Retail Team puts our Mission First by generating revenue used to support people with developmental disabilities.

She is patient with customers as she meets their needs and exceeds their expectations. She continually works to improve herself and our Wichita Retail Team as Jennifer puts our Team Together value into action with an unyielding work ethic and a deep dedication to supporting her fellow team members. She is the very essence of our mission and her patience, empathy, and exceptional customer service reflect her dedication to Excellence Always.

“Jennifer’s drive to enhance our store, in support of our mission, is truly commendable,” said Sagen, manager of the AbleLight Thrift Shop in Wichita. “She’s an invaluable asset and I don’t know what I would do without her.”
