Celebrating connection, inclusion, and a beautiful day outdoors
Our Southern California community came together for a joyful picnic filled with food, laughter, and meaningful moments. Held in partnership with St. John’s Lutheran Church, the event welcomed more than 125 attendees, including individuals supported by AbleLight, their families, team members, and local volunteers. This was our first year back after a one-year hiatus, making the gathering especially meaningful.
The day featured a delicious lunch, games, matching t-shirts, and plenty of smiles. It was a true celebration of community that brought together people of all abilities to connect and enjoy each other’s company in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
We are especially grateful to the amazing volunteers from St. John’s Lutheran Church, whose time and hospitality helped make the event such a success. Their partnership continues to be a shining example of what it means to create spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create a day full of joy and connection. We look forward to more moments like this across the communities we support.
