Winter Art Showcase: Celebrating all abilities and breaking boundaries!

AbleLight College students, each with their own unique background and story, will demonstrate their artistic talent through paintings, drawings, monologue, recoded music performances, live music performances, sculptures, digital art and potentially dance.

AbleLight College is a unique and exciting postsecondary certificate program at Concordia University Wisconsin designed to meet the higher education goals of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Through our traditional two-year program and our new third year Fellowship program, we prepare students to become independent adults living an integrated, purposeful life in their communities.

Why:

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and AbleLight is excited to highlight the many talents of the students at AbleLight College. More than 7 million people in the United States have a developmental disability. At AbleLight, we believe the world shines brighter when we all come together to support those with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve a sense of community and belonging and live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
