Portland Picnic Brings Oregon Community Together

More than 100 people gathered last weekend for an AbleLight picnic in the Portland area, bringing together individuals we support, family members, team members, local leaders, community members, and friends for an afternoon of connection and fun.

The event welcomed individuals from nearly every AbleLight home in Oregon, creating an opportunity for people across the region to spend time together, reconnect with familiar faces, and make new friends in the broader AbleLight community. A petting zoo was a highlight of the day, giving attendees the chance to spend time with animals and enjoy a unique hands-on activity.

Events like this provide opportunities to strengthen connections, celebrate community, and bring people together outside of everyday routines. The Portland picnic was a memorable day filled with conversation, laughter, and time spent together.
