Earlier this month, AbleLight’s Board of Directors gathered in St. Louis for their quarterly board meeting, continuing their vital work of guiding our organization’s strategic direction. As committed volunteers, our board members play a crucial role in ensuring AbleLight remains mission-focused with long-term stability while expanding our impact on people with developmental disabilities.
During their time in St. Louis, board members had the opportunity to connect firsthand with people we support. Over lunch, they joined local AbleLight team members and individuals in our services for conversation and a lively game that sparked conversations and built relationships. This experience reinforced the heart of AbleLight’s mission and the importance of fostering welcoming communities where people of all abilities can thrive.
