Proud to Support Adults with Disabilities in Missouri
Since opening our doors in 1904 to support five individuals, we’ve grown into a nationwide organization dedicated to empowering people with developmental disabilities. Today, over 120 years later, we’re proud to operate in 11 states across the country—including right here in Missouri.
AbleLight Services
AbleLight provides the following services to adults with developmental disabilities across Missouri:
Group Homes (Congregate Living)
AbleLight’s Congregate Living group homes in Missouri offer nurturing homes for individuals with developmental disabilities. With 24/7 support from trained direct support professionals, residents in these typically 4-6 person homes (varies by state) can thrive in a supportive community, fostering independence, social connections, and personal growth.
Host Homes (Shared Living)
AbleLight’s Host Homes in Missouri create opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to share life with a dedicated provider in a family setting. Individuals become part of a household where they receive encouragement, companionship, and support tailored to their preferences, interests, and long-term goals.
Individualized Supported Living

Services are designed to support decision-making, personal responsibility, and successful navigation of everyday life while allowing individuals to maintain control over how they live.
