From decorated trunks and creative costumes to candy and chili, AbleLight joined in the Halloween spirit through festive trunk-or-treat events in St. Louis and Denver.
In St. Louis, AbleLight hosted a Trunk-or-Treat and Chili Cook-Off for individuals supported, team members, and families. More than 10 vehicles were transformed with Halloween themes and decorations, while attendees enjoyed a chili cook-off luncheon and creative costumes. More than 30 individuals we support attended, along with over 20 team members and family members.
A little friendly competition added to the St. Louis festivities, with awards presented for best costume, best decorated trunk, and best chili.
In Denver, AbleLight team members joined The Arc of Arapahoe, Douglas & Elbert Counties for its inclusive community Fall Festival. Despite the chilly, rainy weather, hundreds of people attended. AbleLight’s circus-themed trunk featured a bean bag toss and plenty of Halloween candy.
From hosting a celebration in St. Louis to joining a larger community event in Denver, both trunk-or-treats offered a fun and welcoming way to connect with other and celebrate Halloween.
