Ana receives Employment Support from AbleLight

Finding confidence in her passion

Ana has always dreamed of working with children. Through AbleLight Employment Services, she became an assistant for the before and after school program at Willow Creek Elementary School. Although Ana initially struggled with shyness and not having a high school diploma, she has blossomed into a confident and reliable employee. Today, she loves her job, and the children love her too.

“I just feels great that I have my job,” Ana says proudly. Her journey has not only boosted her own confidence but also taught the kids she works with that it’s okay to be different.

AbleLight’s Employment Supports program helps people like Ana find meaningful jobs through personalized support. Ana received job preparation, assistance with applications, and ongoing job coaching to help her thrive in her role. She now enjoys a great relationship with her supervisor and has been successfully employed for over a year.

At AbleLight, we’re committed to helping individuals reach their career goals, providing guidance and support at every step. Ana’s success is just one example of how we help people overcome challenges and grow into confident, capable employees who contribute to and engage in their communities.

Every gift makes a difference at AbleLight.
