Who is AbleLight?
AbleLight is a nonprofit, national leader in providing life-changing services that empower people with developmental disabilities to thrive. Guided by Christian love and a 120+ year commitment to our mission, we provide individualized support that promotes independence and inclusion, enabling people to flourish in their communities.
What to Expect During the Transition
This transition is being approached thoughtfully to ensure continuity and minimize disruption. Each step is guided by our shared responsibility to provide care that is reliable, respectful, and centered on people.
- Trusted relationships remain in place.
A vast majority of Ohana’s staff continue in their roles, supporting consistency and familiar connections. - Ohana’s name continues for a period of time.
You may still see the Ohana name on signage, materials, and online as the transition progresses. - Stability is the priority.
Daily routines, relationships, and care are intentionally maintained throughout the process.
- Services continue without interruption.
Individuals continue receiving the supports that promote independence, stability, and opportunity. - Administrative alignment under AbleLight.
