Funding supports workplace training and career development for people with developmental disabilities in Green Bay
GREEN BAY, WI (Sept. 1, 2026) — AbleLight is proud to announce it has received a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation to support the continued growth of its employment program at AbleLight Thrift Shop in Green Bay. The funding will help strengthen training resources, workforce support, and program operations that create a welcoming workplace where people with developmental disabilities can build skills, contribute to their community, and pursue their goals.

Through AbleLight Thrift Shop, employees take an active role in daily store operations while learning customer service, inventory management, teamwork, and workplace communication. The store provides a supportive environment where individuals can develop professionally while contributing to a business that serves the local community.
Support from the Green Bay Packers Foundation will help strengthen the resources behind the program, including training opportunities and workplace supports that help employees thrive. This funding will help ensure our team members have access to the guidance, structure, and encouragement needed to continue growing and reaching personal milestones.
