Members of AbleLight’s Denver bocce team recently participated in a Special Olympics Colorado area bocce competition, building on the skills they have been developing during practices throughout the summer.
Athletes competed across singles and doubles divisions, earning several top finishes throughout the day. Jennifer, Skylar, and Daven each earned first-place in their divisions, while Leah earned third place, Randall and Skylar earned second place, and additional members from team earned second-place finishes in their respective divisions. The competition provided an opportunity for athletes to showcase their hard work while experiencing the camaraderie and excitement of Special Olympics competition.
Following their strong performances, Leah, Randall, and Daven qualified to advance to the Special Olympics Colorado State Bocce Competition later this month.
