Candace Murray Joins AbleLight as Director of Compliance

Milwaukee – Candace Murray, an accomplished compliance professional, has joined AbleLight as Director of Compliance. In this role, she will lead AbleLight’s compliance programs and ensure the organization functions in a legal and ethical manner at all times as it grows and meets strategic objectives.

Murray will also serve as advisor on compliance matters to the AbleLight Board of Directors, CEO and Executive Leadership Team. She will report on compliance status and make recommendations on areas of risk and concern.

“We are excited to have someone with Candace’s experience in compliance join AbleLight as we focus on expanding our residential services across several markets,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Jeff Kaczmarski. “Her compliance and Medicaid knowledge combined with her passion for ensuring we maintain the highest ethical standards and integrity as we grow will be an asset for AbleLight. Candace also has a passion for our mission. She is passionate in her efforts to support a very vulnerable population, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”

Prior to joining AbleLight, Murray served as director of Medicaid policy and compliance for a health transportation system serving 5 million Medicaid enrollees. This is evident by the tone at the top and AbleLight’s commitment to its mission,” said Murray. “I am passionate about ethics and supporting people and programs, and I believe compliance brings infinite value to organizations. When the opportunity to join the team as Compliance Director at AbleLight presented itself, I couldn’t turn away.”

Murray earned her Master of Social Work from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, and a bachelor’s degree in child and adolescent psychology from Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, California.
